About Mary Ann
Mary Ann Nelson McAlister has been working professionally as an Artist since she was 15 years old. She has always strived to do her best in all that she does. Working in a variety of mediums from Oil, Acrylic and Water Color Paints, to Sandblasting, Pencil, Ink, Extruded Acrylic, Glass, Adobe Suite, Corel and more. She has tried to achieve a variety in her work and flexibility in what she creates. Mary Ann tends to think of herself as a work in progress and is always trying to challenge herself to develop her skills in new mediums and techniques.
She has an extensive portfolio and has only a small showcase on her website.
She has worked in a wide range of professional fields, including commercial restaurant murals, show homes, design work for textiles/fabrics, china/ dish ware, statuary, jewelry, commercial illustration, T-shirts and more. She has also done many private commissioned murals, portraits and illustrations, including children's books, as well as artwork for commercial advertising for newspapers, logo design, websites, app design, magazine / catalog design and layout, floor plans, laser design and layer separation for print and embroidery.
Mary Ann lives in Texas with her husband Ray, sons Noah and Jonah, daughter Hannah and dogs, Ace the Bat Hound and Cupcake.
